Kasey Lynn Spencer Brandenburg of Beattyville, Kentucky was born in Wolfe County, Kentucky on Sunday, May 22nd 1966 to the late Edward and Beulah Inez Spencer and she peacefully departed this life on Thursday, August 20, 2026 at her niece’s home in Beattyville, Kentucky at the age of 60 years, 2 months, and 29 days.
Kasey is survived by one sister, Wavalene Chaney of Mt. Sterling, Kentucky; two brothers, Tommy Spencer and wife Karen and Clifford Spencer and wife Luci of Beattyville, Kentucky; special nieces, Summer York Johnson and husband Michael of Beattyville, Kentucky and Angie York Cornett and husband Justin Cornett of Jeffersonville, Kentucky; special great nephews, Landon Michael Johnson and Ethan Blake Johnson both of Beattyville, Kentucky; a special canine friend, Diesel; as well as a host of other nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
Kasey loved spending time with her family and friends, and helping others when she could. She also enjoyed listening to music, singing karaoke, and coloring. She was kind, caring, and truly loved life. She was a Christian and believed in our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Her son Dee and granddaughter, Mandolynn was her pride and joy.
In addition to her parents, Edward and Beulah Spencer, Kasey was preceded in death by two brothers, “Mike” Michael Spencer and Clayton Edward Spencer; a sister, Katrina Spencer, a son, “Dee” Derek Scott Brandenburg, and a niece, Susan Dawn Spencer Lutes.
Kasey’s memory will live on in the hearts of all that knew and loved her and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and loved ones. A memorial service/celebration of life will be scheduled at a later date.
