Mary Griffin, 59, of Beattyville, Kentucky, passed away on October 12, 2026. She was born on April 8, 1967, in Wilmington, Ohio, and lived a life marked by faith, gentleness, and love. She was a Christian woman whose quiet strength and caring spirit touched the lives of many who knew her. Mary carried herself with grace and compassion and was known for the warmth she extended to family, friends, and neighbors alike. Those who were blessed to know her will remember her as a gentle presence and a loving soul who brought comfort and encouragement to others. She is survived by her mother; Leota Griffin,daughter, Amanda Brandenburg, and her husband, Don, of Kirbyville, Missouri; her son, Matthew Hager, of Winchester, Kentucky; her special friend, Phillip Bowman, of Beattyville, Kentucky; her brother, Johnnie Griffin, of Stanton, Kentucky; her brother, Lola “Connie” Griffin, of Beattyville, Kentucky; and her sisters, Donna McIntosh and her husband, John, of Beattyville, Kentucky, and Penny Griffin, of Beattyville, Kentucky. She also leaves behind five grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Mary was preceded in death by her father, John Griffin, and her son, Joshua Hager. Their memories remained close to her heart, and she carried both love and loss with the same quiet dignity that characterized her life.Her family and friends will remember Mary for the love she gave so freely, the gentle way she spoke, and the faith that guided her steps throughout her life. Though she will be deeply missed, her memory will remain a source of comfort and inspiration to all who were touched by her life.

with Pastor Ellis Kendall officiating. Burial at Griffin Cemetery in the community of Old Landing, KY. Boone Funeral in charge of arrangements.
