The Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Great Lakes Division Rally Cross Divisional Challenge came to the Appalachian Overland Triangle in Owsley County June 19–21, 2026.
The Appalachian Overland Triangle in Booneville welcomed drivers and racing enthusiasts from across multiple states as it hosted the Great Lakes SCCA RallyCross, a premier regional motorsports event that drew competitors, teams, families, and spectators to Eastern Kentucky.
The event was held at the Appalachian Overland Triangle, located at 2843 Little Sturgeon Creek Road in Booneville, and featured rally-prepared vehicles competing on specially designed gravel and dirt courses throughout the scenic mountain property.
Drivers from throughout the Sports Car Club of America (SCCA) Great Lakes Division competed in a variety of vehicle classes, ranging from modified all-wheel-drive rally cars to grassroots front-wheel-drive and rear-wheel-drive competitors.
Fans were excited to see close-quarters racing while enjoying the beautiful mountain scenery and witnessing the continued growth of RallyCross and grassroots motorsports in Eastern Kentucky.
The Appalachian Overland Triangle has quickly become a growing destination for rally racing, overlanding, off-road recreation, automotive testing, and motorsports tourism throughout the Appalachian region. The event was free for spectators.
