Senate President Robert Stivers, R-Manchester, Booneville Mayor Nelson Bobrowski , and the Booneville City Council joined owners Andee Stevens and Lindsey Stevens, owners of the Nest Box , a new farm-to-table café, on September 15, 2026 to celebrate Booneville's downtown revitalization with the grand opening and ribbon cutting of the Nest Box.
Booneville leaders have made a concerted effort to revitalize the downtown area to fuel the local economy and create employment opportunities close to home.
Other businesses that have recently located in downtown Booneville include Booneville Cycle, R&R Cutlery, Abdeil’s Barbershop, Booneville Outfitters, and La Taqueria Cantina, a food truck that is operating on city-owned property with a look toward leasing permanent space.
Andee and Lindsey Stevens., also operate Happy Hens Homestead, a family farm rooted in generations of Lindsey’s family history in Owsley County.
The café features food grown at Happy Hens Homestead and products from other local farms. Its opening adds to a growing number of new businesses helping revitalize downtown Booneville.
