Clayton Bowling

Clayton Bowling, age 82, of Ricetown, Kentucky passed away on November 22, 2024 at the Baptist Health Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky following a brief illness.     

     Clayton attended the Indian Creek Church.  Clayton loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors.  

     Clayton is survived by his wife of 49 years, Dorothy Amis Bowling.  He leaves behind four brothers Stanley Bowling of Ohio, McKinney “Susie” Bowling of Ricetown, Kentucky, Paul “Linda” Bowling and Caleb Bowling all of Ricetown, Kentucky.  Two sisters Erma Green and Kay “Harold” Meadors of Ohio.   A host of nieces and nephews.  

     He is preceded in death by his parents Johnny and Grace Bowling, five brothers James, Elwood, Clarence, Raymond and Lonnie and one sister Addie Vandepitte.  

     A private graveside service was held on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Amis-Baker Cemetery at Grassy Branch, Kentucky with Brother Terry Sandlin officiating.

     The Searcy and Strong Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
