Conservation District Offers FREE Tree Seedlings

The Owsley County Conservation District is offering free tree seedlings to interested landowners on Thursday, April 10th and Friday, April 11th from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.  We will have Redbud, Pawpaw, Wild Plum, Pecan and Red Oak seedlings available this year, to be planted locally in observance of Arbor Day, April 4th, and Earth Day, April 22nd.

Trees offer many important benefits to the environment so stop by the conservation district office at our new location at 75 Shepard Lane, next to Owley County Middle/High School, to pick up your free seedlings.  You can make your contribution toward improving our environment in Owsley County by planting trees.
