Shirley G. Byrd, age 66, passed away Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at the Owsley County Health Care Center located in Booneville, KY.
Shirley was born March 15, 1959 in Manchester, KY, a daughter to Landon & Virginia McDaniel.
She was a caretaker, and worked with housekeeping at the Owsley County Health Care Center. She was a member of the Clarks Chapel Baptist Church.
Along with her parents; Landon McDaniel & Virginia (Gabbard) McDaniel, 1 son; Scottie Byrd,1 daughter; Charlene (Russel) Wilder, 2 sisters; Martha Baker, and Carolyn Sue Nichols, 4 grandchildren, and many other loving family members & friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; Donnie Ray Byrd, and 1 brother; Joe Bob McDaniel.
Visitation will be held Saturday, February 14, 2026 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at the Booneville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, February 14, 2026 at 1:00 pm at the Booneville Funeral Home with Pastor Freddy Berry officiating.
