Roy Michael Smallwood, husband of Malaak Pearson and son of the late Omer Lee and Virginia Ruth Moore Smallwood was born in Richmond, Indiana on June 9, 1973 and departed this life in Lexington, Kentucky on Wednesday, July 8, 2026 at the age of 53 years and 29 days. He was a Quality Technician for Toyota Manufacturing and attended the Queen of All Saints Catholic Church.
In addition to his wife, Malaak Pearson of Georgetown, Kentucky, Roy is survived by two sons, Roy “RJ” Smallwood, Jr. and Kaine Pearson both of Georgetown; three brothers, Omer Smallwood, Jr., Jonathan Smallwood both of Beattyville, Kentucky and Ryan Smallwood of Berea, Kentucky; an aunt, Madge Moore of Beattyville; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Services held July 18, 2026 at Newnam Funeral Home of Beattyville. Newnam in charge of arrangements.
