Mary Jane Murrell McIntosh, the widow of James Mcintosh, and the daughter of the late Japtha and Nellie Mullins Murrell, was born in Owsley County, Kentucky on February 27, 1936, and departed this life in Jackson, Kentucky on May 16, 2026, at the age of 90 years, 2 months and 17 days. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Meadow Creek Pentecostal Church of God.
Mrs. McIntosh is survived by six children; Marietta Willoughby of Winchester, Kentucky, Madeline McIntosh Sawyer, John McIntosh and wife Donna, Jeffery Mcintosh and wife Karen, Rhoda Withers and husband James, and Martha Ann Dickerson and husband Ronnie all of Beattyville; 16 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; 8 brothers and sisters; a special friend, Mary Seale; and a host of other relatives and friends. In addition to her parents and husband, Mrs. McIntosh was preceded in death by her baby boy, Kenneth; a granddaughter, Sarah Lee Willoughby; a grandson, Christopher Charles Sawyer; two sisters, Ruby and Ruth; and a brother, Grover. Services held at Beattyville Church of the Nazarene on May 19, 2026. Burial; Riverview Cemetery of Lee Co. Newnam in charge of arrangements.
