Martha Elaine Thomas, wife of Dallas Thomas and daughter of the late Norman and Jean Caudill Smith was born in Winfield, Illinois on December 8, 1964, and departed this life in Lexington, Kentucky on October 22, 2025, at the age 60 years, 10 months, and 14 days. She was a member of the Beattyville First Church of God and was a former bus driver and most recently a salesclerk at Jack’s IGA.
In addition to her husband, Dallas Thomas of Beattyville, Kentucky, Mrs. Thomas is survived by two sons, Thomas James Cowley (Megan) of Georgetown, Kentucky and Devin Scott Thomas (Michaela Denise) of Beattyville; two step-children, Kim Sullivan and Rick Thomas (Jacqueline) all of Chicago, Illinois; five grandchildren, Alexa Jean, Emily Rose, Jackson Eugene, Austin Thomas, and Paige Sullivan; a sister, Pamela Sue Rudd (Rick) of Shelbyville, Indiana; and a host of other relatives and friends. Mrs. Thomas was preceded in death by three brothers and one sister.
A memorial service will be held Nov. 2nd, 2025 at 1pm at Beattyville 1st Church of God located 1000 HWY 11S, Beattyville. Newnam in charge of arrangements.
