Leonard Carl Ross, Jr., husband of Marian Ann Griffin Ross and son of the late Leonard Carl Ross and Janice Gayle Gilbert Miracle was born in Campton, Kentucky on August 23, 1965 and departed this life at his home in Beattyville, Kentucky on July 1, 2026 at the age of 60 years, 10 months, and 9 days. He was a veteran of the United States Army, Contractor for 18 years, a former Building and Supply Manager of Meades Do It Center, and a member of the Beattyville Church of the Nazarene.
In addition to his wife, Marian Ross of Beattyville, Kentucky, Leonard is survived by his two sons, Leonard DaKota Ross and Sarah Hope Phillips all of Beattyville and Hunter Tyee Ross and wife Sydney of Lexington, Kentucky; one grandchild, Willow Iris Ross; his brother and sister, Rodney Ross and wife LaDonna and Carla Lyons and husband David all of Beattyville; special nephews, Charlie and Tucker Lyons, Elijah Matthew Brown, and Henry Isaiah Brown; special nieces, LaShonda Napier, LaTasha Johnson and Mackensley Raylynn Griffin; great nieces and nephew, Colton Burkhart, Emmilynn Napier and Rodnee Janice Johnson; his second mother, Jeanette Ross; mothers-in-law, Nancy Griffin and Jackie Masino; brother-in-law, Christopher Griffin and wife Lynn; special friend, Mike Kline; and a host of other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard Carl Ross and Janice Gayle Miracle.
Services held July 5th, 2026 at Newnam Funeral Home of Beattyville. Newnam in charge of arrangements.
