LAWRENCE WHITNEY RATLIFF

LAWRENCE WHITNEY RATLIFF, the husband of Mrs. Anna Mae Stamper Ratliff of Zoe, Kentucky, and the son of the late Sterling, Sr. and Thelma Mae Miller Ratliff, was born in Campton, Kentucky on May 28, 1952, and departed this life at his home in Zoe on July 9, 2026, at the age of 74 years, 1 month and 11 days. He was a retired heavy equipment operator for the Boonesboro Rock Quarry, collected knives and toy cars, loved his caps, and was a member of the Sandfill Pentecostal Holiness Church.

  In addition to his wife Anna, Mr. Ratliff is survived by one daughter, Mrs. Teresa Ratliff Hobbs and husband Roger of Zoe; two grandchildren, Amber Gail and Andrew Scott Hobbs both of Zoe; seven brothers and sisters, Sterling Ratliff, Jr., Dewey Virgil Ratliff, George Ratliff, Leroy Ratliff, Shirley Ratliff Ward, Mary Ratliff, and Beatrice Stamper all of Beattyville, Kentucky; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Ratliff is preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Clarence Ratliff; and a sister, Carolyn Parrott.

   Graveside services held July 13, 2026 at Ratliff Johnson Cemetery of Zoe, Lee County. Newnam in charge of arrangements.
