FRANKFORT, Ky. (Oct. 23, 2025) — Kentucky Senate Majority Leadership issued the following statement on Thursday regarding the full U.S. Senate’s confirmation of Chad Meredith as United States district judge for the Eastern District of Kentucky. 

“This is a momentous occasion for Kentucky and a proud milestone for the Meredith family. Chad Meredith’s distinguished legal career, steadfast commitment to constitutional principles, and unwavering integrity have earned him broad respect across the legal community. His confirmation not only recognizes his impressive qualifications but also affirms the importance of judicial restraint and constitutional fidelity.

“We applaud Chad’s confirmation and are confident he will serve with honor, wisdom, and principled judgment on the federal bench. His service will be a credit to the commonwealth and an inspiring example for generations of legal minds to come.

“We also extend heartfelt congratulations to our colleague and friend, Sen. Stephen Meredith, and the entire Meredith family, whose enduring love and support have been central to Chad’s journey. 

“Today, we celebrate not only a well-earned confirmation but the bright future ahead for one of Kentucky’s finest legal sons.”
