Team Kentucky filed a lawsuit that secured a ruling requiring the federal government to fund November SNAP benefits. However, the federal government has chosen to provide a reduced amount.
Because the federal government is providing less SNAP funding, people will see a smaller amount on their EBT cards this month. SNAP benefits are based on your income and are figured using a new lower limit set by the federal government. This means the change is not the same for everyone and benefits will vary by household.
The Cabinet for Health and Family Services is working to load November available benefits to EBT cards. Individuals should begin seeing the reduced benefits added to their EBT card beginning November 6 or on your regularly scheduled day of issuance.
