Johnnie Green Bowman, age 78, passed away Tuesday, December 26, at the Lee County Care and Rehabilitation Center in Beattyville, KY. Johnnie was born May 30, 1945, in Beattyville, KY a son to the late Hobert and Eudell (Howell) Bowman. He was a retired machinist for Bendix Tool and Die, and was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by 4 sons; Johnny, Phillip, and Dustin Bowman all of Frankfort, KY, Nathan Bowman of Berea, KY, 1 daughter; Jennifer Bowman of Bryant AR, 5 brothers; Steve, Hobert Jr, Mike, Link, and Anthony Bowman all of Beattyville, KY, 6 sisters; Judy Bailey and Susan Dunaway both of Beattyville, KY, Billie Sergent of Danville, KY, Marilyn Brandow of Farmington, WI, Carolyn Baston of Bloomington, IN, Kathy Bowman of Richmond, IN, 5 grandchildren; Justin, Ryan, Tyler, Aiden, and Lucas, 6 great grandchildren, his former wife Elizabeth Bowman, along with many other loving family members and friends.
Johnnie was preceded in death by his parents, and 1 grandson Hunter.
Visitation will begin Friday, December 29, 2023 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Booneville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Friday, December 29, 2023 at 1:00 PM at the Booneville Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Morgan officiating.
Johnnie will be laid to rest in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery located in Booneville, KY.
