Joe Childers, age 63, passed away Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at his home in Beattyville, KY. Joe was born May 1, 1960 in Marlette, MI, a son to the late Otto & Mida (King) Childers. He worked as a mason, and in his free-time, he enjoyed being with his family, hunting, fishing, trapping, and his work.
Joe is survived by 5 sons; Thomas (Jennifer) Shelton, Shane (Samantha) Shelton, Jason (Sarah) Shelton, Raymond (Jamacia Gadd) Morris, and Joshua Shelton, 1 daughter; Charlene Collins, 2 brothers; Bill Childers & Paul (Kim) Childers, 5 sisters; Bessie McIntosh, Irene Fairfield, Barb Childers, Cindy Charlton, and Mary Childers, 12 grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren, and many other loving family members, and friends.
Along with his loving wife Naomi Childers, he was preceded in death by his parents; Otto & Mida Childers.
Visitation will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023 from 12:00 to 1:00 pm at the Booneville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 1:00 pm at the Booneville Funeral Home with Brother Walter Turner officiating. He will be laid to rest beside his wife in the Rock of Ages Cemetery located in Beattyville, KY.
