Jesse Lee Jones, Jr., husband of Tonya Slone Jones and son of the late Jesse Lee Jones, Sr. and Ida Day Jones was born in Richmond, Kentucky on April 22, 1970 and departed this life in Lexington, Kentucky on December 14, 2025 at the age of 55 years, 7 months, and 22 days. He was a retired Captain of Three Forks Regional Jail in Beattyville, Kentucky.
In addition to his loving wife, Tonya of Beattyville, Kentucky, he is survived by two children, Ryan Blake Jones and girlfriend, Kelli Moore also of Beattyville and Taylor Jones and boyfriend, Dakota Moore of Rogers, Kentucky; one granddaughter, Briella Rose Moore; his brother and sister, Eric Huntsberger and wife Kathy and Danielle Meade and husband Jim; and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Friday, December 19th at Newnam Funeral Home of Beattyville from noon to 2pm. Funeral to follow visitation. Burial; Rock of Ages Cemetery of Lee Co. Newnam in charge of arrangements.
