James Paniel “Jimmy” Napier, Jr., son of the late James Paniel Napier, Sr. and Gertrude Hogan Napier was born in Idamay, Kentucky on May 2, 1950 and departed this life in Campton, Kentucky on October 25, 2025 at the age of 75 years, 5 months, and 23 days. He was a former Commercial and Residential Contractor. He is survived by his long-time fiancée, Dedra Bowman; two children, James Christopher Napier and Shakira Hays (Anthony) all of Beattyville, Kentucky; a step-son, Aaron Roark (Kayla); a step-daughter, Christina Roark (Devin); four grandchildren, Cameron Brown (Jaclyn) of Lexington, Kentucky, Autumn Brown (Connor Deaton) of Beattyville, Erin Napier of Richmond, Kentucky, and Michael Roark of Beattyville; his brother and sister, Ronnie Napier and Phyllis Spencer both of Beattyville; and a host of several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Jimmy was preceded in death by his siblings, Donald, John, Kenny, Carolyn, Chester, and Ida Napier.
Services held at Newnam Funeral Home on October 29th 2025 with burial following at Riverview Cemetery of Beattyville. Newnam in charge of arrangements.
