James (Jamie) Buford Banks, age 50, passed away Friday, March 29, 2024, at his residence in Booneville, KY.
Jamie was born November 12, 1973, in Hazard, KY, a son to James Banks and Lana (Sandlin) Dalton. He worked as an auto mechanic.
He is survived by his wife of 31 years; Ivah (Turner) Banks, his parents; James Banks of Booneville, KY, and Lana Dotson of Pikeville, KY, grandmother; Rose Sandlin of Beattyville, KY, 1 son; James Buford Banks of Lexington, KY, 2 daughters; Megan (John) Barnhart of Morehead, KY Jamia Banks of Hazard, KY, 2 brothers; Ronnie Banks and Joey Banks both of Beattyville, KY, 4 grandchildren; Aubree, Allie, Sheila, ad Henry, along with many other loving family members and friends.
Jamie was preceded in death by his grandfather; Buford Sandlin, 1 brother; Kevin Gabbard.
Visitation will begin Thursday, April 4, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM at the Booneville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 4, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Booneville Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Morgan officiating. Jamie will be laid to rest in the Banks Family Cemetery located in Owsley County.
