James Barrett, age 97, passed away Friday, January 12, 2024, at the Owsley County Healthcare Center in Booneville, KY.
James was born May 7, 1926, in Aurora, Indiana, a son to the late Levi and Dora (Baker) Barrett. He was a retired factory worker of Aeronica Corporation in Middletown, Ohio.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years; Carrie (Fout) Barrett and 2 daughters; Dora Barrett and Leann Barrett, both of Booneville, KY, along with many other loving family members and friends.
James was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son; Curt Barrett and 1 daughter; Janet Barrett Collier and 4 brothers; Earl, Dilbert, Junior and Johnny Barrett.
Visitation will begin Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Booneville Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held Thursday, January 18, 2024, at 2:00 PM at the Booneville Funeral Home with Pastor J. Jamison Brunk officiating. James will be laid to rest in the Pleasant Grove Cemetery located in Booneville, KY.
