HAROLD LEE SHOUSE, the husband of Leighandra Evans Shouse of Beattyville, Kentucky, and the son of the late Roy Gene and Janet Bennett Shouse, was born in Covington, Kentucky on February 6, 1966, and departed this life in Lexington, Kentucky on June 23, 2026, at the Age of 60 years, 4 months and 17 days. Harold was a skilled concrete worker who worked in construction, was a former backhoe operator for the Lee County Fiscal Court, was a maintenance man for the Southside Water Company, was a hard-working jack-of-all-trades who really enjoyed mowing, fishing, playing cards, and attended the Hilltop Community Church.
In addition to his wife Leighandra, Harold is survived by three daughters, Sara Kate Shouse (Austin Roberts), Rachel Isabella Shouse (Jerry Hayes), and Rebecca Ja’net Peters (Marcus Peters) all of Beattyville; his bonus daughter, Kaci Mae Townsend (Jordan)of Beattyville; his grandchildren, Jace Tyler Peters, River Dawson Hayes, Connor Delton Hayes, and Gavin Riley Hayes; a special great-nephew, Elijah Evans; his brothers and sisters, Barbara Shouse Race (Hobie), Roy E. Shouse (Angel), Teresa Rowe (Bob), John Shouse (Lisa) and Phyllis Benney (Don); and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Harold was preceded in death by his parents; and one grandchild.
Services to be held Friday July 3rd, 2026 at Newnam Funeral Home of Beattyville. Visitation; noon to 2pm. Funeral at 2:00pm. Burial; Pilgrims Rest Cemetery of Long Branch Rd, Lee Co. Newnam in charge of arrangements.
