Dewey Virgil Ratliff of Beattyville, KY lost his battle with cancer, July 12th leaving behind his companion, Christene Cook, three brothers, Sterling Ratliff, Jr. (Glenda Spencer), George Ratliff (Shirley), and Lee Roy Ratliff (Janice), and sisters, Beatrice Stamper (Douglas), Shirley Ward (Danny), and Mary Etta Ratliff (Don).
He was preceded in death by his father, Sterling Ratliff and mother, Thelma Miller Ratliff; two brothers, Clarence Ratliff and Lawrence Ratliff, and sister, Carolyn Parrott. Dewey stayed with his mother for many years. He loved to work on cars and in his later years, he started collecting toy cars. He lived his life freely and loved to visit his family almost daily. He was a very kind person that always spoke to strangers and always had a kind word to say. We will miss him very much, but God had a very special place in Heaven for him with his family before him. Rest in peace, my brother, until we all rejoice together.
Services; July 16, 2026 at Newnam Funeral Home of Beattyville. Burial; Ratliff Johnson Cemetery of Zoe, Ky. Newnam in charge of arrangements.
