Delbert Addison, husband of Martha Kay Farmer Addison and son of the late James and Ollie B. Poe Addison was born in Lee County, Kentucky on March 10, 1945 and departed this life in Lexington, Kentucky on Friday, August 14, 2026 at the age of 81 years, 5 months, and 4 days. He worked for 36 years in Tool and Dye for Bundy Tubing and was a member of the Cressmont Baptist Church. In addition to his wife, Martha Kay Addison, Delbert is survived by sons, Anthony Addison of Jackson County, Kentucky, Delbert Addison, Jr. of Beattyville, Kentucky and Dennis Addison of Bowling Green, Kentucky; daughter, Jasmine Raider; son, Brian Raider of Beattyville; two brothers, Jesse James Addison also of Beattyville and Charles Addison of Booneville, Kentucky; 30 grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren;
and a host of other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and several brothers and sisters.
Services will be held at Newnam Funeral Home on Thursday, August 20 th at 1 PM with a visitation beginning at 11 AM. Rev. William Owens will be officiating the service. Burial will follow in the Addison Cemetery.
