Charles Edward Stamper, the husband of Mrs. Lucy Mae Fortson Stamper of Bardstown, Kentucky, and the son of the late Edward and Lillie Roberts Stamper, was born in Lee County, Kentucky on September 30, 1942, and departed this life at his home in Bardstown, on August 9, 2026, at the age of 83 years, 10 months, and 10 days. He was an executive vice-president for Pepsico where he worked for over 33 years, was a lifetime Mason and member of the Masonic Lodge #319 F&AM, a Shriner, and attended the Nelson Christian Church. In addition to his wife Lucy, Mr. Stamper is survived by two daughters, Jessica Stamper of Bardstown, and Heather Mishio (Christopher) of Mt. Washington, Kentucky; four grandchildren, Michael Dylan (Jessica U.), Hannah Grace (fiancé Jacob), Cody Thomas and Braxton Augustus; five brothers and sisters, Marvin, Larry (Darla), Delois (Michael), Ruth (Bill), and Blanche; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, Mr. Stamper is preceded in death by three brothers, Wendell, Kerney, and Lawrence.
Services held August 14, 2026 at Newnam Funeral Home of Beattyville. Burial; Little Stamper Cemetery of Lee Co. Newnam in charge of arrangements.
