Carl Smith Jr., age 52, passed away Wednesday, February 18, 2026 at the University of Kentucky Chandler Medical Center. Carl was born January 4, 1974 in Irvine, KY, a son to Carl Smith Sr. and Brenda Smith. He was a laborer, working on anything from construction to masonry. He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed hunting & fishing. He loved working with his hands, and had a caring heart.
Along with his parents; Carl Sr., and Brenda Smith, he is survived by his children; Michael Todd (Kassandra) Smith, Eric Smith, and Micah Sha Riley, brothers; Jeffery Smith, and Anthony Smith, 7 grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by 1 son; Scott Smith, 1 grandson; Easton Smith, grandparents; Edwin & Edna Smith, Rosetta Turner, and William Utsler.
Funeral services held Monday, February 23, 2026 at the Booneville Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Morgan officiating. He was laid to rest in the Cow Creek Church Cemetery located in the Cow Creek community of Booneville, KY. The Booneville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
