Owsley County Flood Conditions

Owsley County Emergency Management and the Owsley County Road Dept is out to make sure everyone is safe during flood conditions.

The Kentucky River at Heidelberg is currently at 24.0 feet and is expected to crest at 26.7 feet this evening, surpassing the flood stage of 20.0 feet. 

According to the KY Dept of Transportation, the following roads are closed due to high water in Owsley County: 

Ky 846 MM 7.2-7.4

KY 2024 MM 7.0-7.2

Ky 3347MM .5-7

Ky 3346 MM .8-1.0

The Owsley County Schools are also closed tomorrow, Monday, February 17th due to flooding.

Judge Little would like to thank each and everyone that has helped throughout the county repairing roadways for the citizens of Owsley County. 

Owsley County Maintenance Department will be back out tomorrow to continue working on repairing county roadways. Please use caution if in an emergency and you have to be out. 

Do NOT drive through any road that has water running across it.
