Former Booneville Police Chief Johnny Logsdon Passes Away

Johnny Logsdon, age 67, widower of Pam (Tolson) Logsdon departed this life on Monday, January 13, 2025, at the Hazard ARH Hospital in Hazard, KY.
 Johnny was born July 23, 1957, in Champaign, Illinois, a son to the late Charles and Laura (Wells) Logsdon.  He was the former Chief of Police for the City of Booneville and retired from the US Navy serving during the Gulf War.  Johnny was a member of the American Legion, a Mason, he loved riding his motorcycle with his friends, leather crafting, collecting guns and knives, hunting and gardening.
 He is survived by 1 son; Johnny James Logsdon, 3 daughters; Lisa Renee Logsdon, Laura Mae Logsdon, and Rebecca Burns, 2 brothers; Kenny and Jimmy Wells, 2 sisters; Marsha Logsdon and Aileen Bratcher, and 9 grandchildren, along with many other loving family members and friends.
 Johnny was preceded in death by his wife and his parents.
 Visitation will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Booneville Funeral Home. Memorial services with Military Rites by the D.A.V. Chapter 165, McKee, KY will be held, Saturday January 25, 2025, at 11:00 AM at the Booneville Funeral Home with Pastor Rob Morgan officiating.
