National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day January 9th
January 10, 2025
National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day was created to thank police officers for their service in keeping our communities safe. After the violence that followed the 2014 Ferguson, Missouri shooting, Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.) established National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day.
You can celebrate National Law Enforcement Day by doing the following: Show support on social media and by wearing blue. To promote awareness of support for law enforcement on L.E.A.D., consider showing support on your social media outlets, organize a Neighborhood Watch program, or volunteer or donate to your local Crime Stoppers program if one is available.
Greet any law enforcement officer you see in person and thank them for their service.
A smile and a handshake can make all the difference, you could visit your local police station and bring them some snacks or a care package, or rganize an appreciation event for them and invite them over.
THANK YOU LAW ENFORCEMENT FOR ALL THAT YOU DO FOR YOUR COMMUNITY!
A healthy Owsley County requires great community news.
