Joseph Mitchell Barrett

Joseph Mitchell Barrett, 53, of Booneville, Kentucky passed away December 14, 2024 at the Kentucky River Medical Center in Jackson, Kentucky following a brief illness.  

     Mr. Barrett was born June 3, 1971 in Lexington, Kentucky.  He was the son of the late Tommy and Rosette Gabbard Barrett.  Joseph was a carpenter and attended the White Harvest Holiness Church.  

     He is survived by his son Mr. Joe “Brianna” Barrett of Booneville, Kentucky, one grandson Trapper Barrett of Booneville, Kentucky, one sister Mrs. Shana Marshall of Booneville, Kentucky, the mother of Joe, Mrs. Robin Roberts Barrett of Booneville, Kentucky and several nieces, nephews, relatives  and friends.    

He is preceded in death by his parents Tommy and Rosetta Gabbard Barrett and one sister Tabitha Burns.  

     Visitation will be held Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 11:00 am until 1:00 pm, with funeral service Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 1:00 pm at the Searcy and Strong Funeral Home with Brother Kenneth Marshall officiating.  Burial followed in the Shepherd Memorial Cemetery in Booneville, Kentucky. 

     The Searcy and Strong Funeral Home was in charge of all arrangements.
