September 10, 2024
Peoples Rural Telephone Company (PRTC) is proud to announce the donation of $1,000 to each of the following volunteer Fire Departments: Crossroads Fire Department, Vincent Fire Department, Gray Hawk Fire Department, McKee Fire Department, Pond Creek Fire Department, Sand Gap Fire Department, Gray Hawk Fire & Rescue—Brushy Mountain Station, and Booneville Fire Department, Stations #1 & #2.
These donations underscore PRTC’s commitment to supporting the brave men and women who volunteer their time and risk their lives to protect our rural communities. The dedication of these volunteer fire departments is critical to ensuring the safety and well-being of our residents, particularly in the more remote areas where access to emergency services can be limited.
“These fire departments and their volunteers are the backbone of our community’s safety,” said Keith Gabbard, PRTC CEO. “Their unwavering commitment to responding to emergencies, no matter the time or conditions, is invaluable. We are honored to support their efforts and help ensure they have the resources they need to continue their vital work.”
PRTC recognizes the importance of community service and is dedicated to investing in initiatives that enhance the quality of life for the residents of our service areas. This donation is a small token of our appreciation for the life-saving work that these volunteers perform every day.
A healthy Owsley County requires great community news.
