In the spirit of giving, PRTC initiated its annual campaign to collect and match monetary donations received during the 2023 holiday season, aiming to support local food banks and make a positive impact in the community.

Thanks to the overwhelming support and kindness of donors, coupled with PRTC's contributions, the campaign successfully raised over $50,000. These funds were distributed among local food banks to address the pressing needs of those facing food insecurity.

The breakdown of total donations for each Food Bank is as follows:

• Sand Gap Food Pantry $23,682.93

• Jackson County Food Bank $22,560.46

• Owsley County Food Place $2,846.41

• New Zion Food Pantry $1,909.20

• Royal Oak Baptist Church Food Bank $250.00

PRTC extends heartfelt gratitude to all individuals who contributed to this noble cause and made a significant difference in the lives of those in need. PRTC remains dedicated to fostering a sense of community and continues to explore opportunities to make a positive impact on the well-being of its residents.

To extend the opportunities for others to contribute throughout the year, PRTC has launched the ‘Change It Up’ program empowering customers to aid local nonprofit organizations. Simply sign up for the program, which rounds up your monthly bill to the nearest dollar. Your contributions will directly support vital causes like this Food Bank campaign, Cancer Funds, Volunteer Fire Departments, and more.

Let's unite to create a lasting impact – TOGETHER, WE CAN MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
