Emergency Road Aid Funds Awarded to Owsley County

JACKSON, Ky.  – The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet today announced that the Owsley County Fiscal Court will receive $71,500 in County Road Aid emergency funds for repairs of slides on two county roads, Amburgey Road (CR 1004) and Frost Branch Road (CR 1051).

     “The Transportation Cabinet is pleased to approve this request for funding to provide assistance to Owsley County to repair and maintain safe connections in the community,” said Transportation Secretary Jim Gray. 

     The slides to be repaired are near Chestnut Gap Road (Amburgey Road) and KY 28 (Frost Branch Road).

     The Owsley County Fiscal Court is responsible for administering the work.
