Raymond Childers

Raymond Childers, age 84, passed away Sunday, June 1, 2025 at the VA Medical Center, in Lexington KY. Raymond was born June 13, 1940 in Lee County KY a son to the late Dorsey and Piney (King) Childers. Raymond was a member of the Wide Creek Community Church.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Lillie (Thomas) Childers, 1 daughter; LaVisia Childers, 1 son; James Dorsey (Stephanie) Childers, both of Lily KY, 1 brother; Ronnie Childers of Enterprise, Alabama, 1 sister; Wanda Gross of Jackson, KY, and 1 grandchild along with many other loving family members, and friends.

Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, 1 brother; Doug Childers, and 1 sister; Lizzie King.

Funeral Services held on Friday, June 6, at the Wide Creek Community Church, in Lee County, KY with Pastor Jeff Hobbs officiating. James was laid to rest in the King-Childers Cemetery located in the Wide Creek Community in Lee County, KY. The Booneville Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
