Jeddiah “Jed” Price Jr

Jeddiah “Jed” Price Jr., age 83, of Seymour, Indiana, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025, at the Lutheran Community Home in Seymour.

Born on June 1, 1941, in Owsley County, KY, Jed was the son of the late Jeddiah Price Sr. and Bertie (Roberts) Applegate. On October 19, 1983, in Jamestown, Kentucky, he married the love of his life, Carolyn Sue (Hall) Price, who survives in Seymour.

Jed retired from Cummins Engine Company, where he worked diligently throughout his career. He was a devoted member of Freetown Church of Christ and enjoyed a life grounded in faith, family, and hard work. Jed found great joy working on his farm, especially tending to his cattle, and he loved spending time restoring and tinkering with old cars. Known for his kind heart and generous spirit, he deeply loved his grandchildren and cherished every moment with them.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 41 years, Carolyn Sue (Hall) Price of Seymour, IN; children, Steven Dale (Arezoo) Price of Chandler, AZ and Linda Sue Howell of Seymour, IN; 13 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and siblings, Charlie Price of Scottsburg, IN, Faye (Grover) Ledbetter of Seymour, IN, Earlene Shultz of Seymour, IN, and Carolyn Sue (Timothy) Silence of Brownstown, IN.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his son, Paul Ray Price; his grandson, Joshua Price; and his sisters, Hazel Hall and Helen Davidson.
