Hospice Care Plus Nurse is a True Community Hero
April 14, 2025

In times of crisis, true dedication shines through first responders. In this one instance, a Hospice Care Plus Nurse.
Several weeks ago when flooding began and cut off access and phone service for a Jackson County Hospice Care Plus patient, Nurse Makale Fox with Hospice Care Plus, teamed up with emergency management teams to care for her patient.
According to Hospice Care Plus, after finding out her patient was isolated and could not be reached by phone, Fox worked with Jackson County Emergency Management to find a way to get to her.
Makale was able to reach her patient safetly throught the flood waters with the help of Jackson County Emergency Management (pictured above with Fox), giving the Hospice patient the comfort and care the patient deserved.
